Project history
The Building Partnership Ltd was employed by the academy to construct a new vehicle workshop/teaching space, convert existing garages into new classroom spaces and for the modernisation of existing vehicular workshop space to meet new teaching standards and curriculum.
As the academy works and teaches children with a vast array of needs, The Building Partnership Ltd worked closely with it to ensure that the construction progress did not affect the day to day running of the academy.
To limit disruption to the, the works were completed to a tight and short agreed programme.
Brief overview of the work
Complete refurbishment of existing spaces within the academy to form new teaching areas
Complete modernisation of existing workshop to meet current standards
Construction of a traditionally built building with a reinforced steelwork frame
Foundations in excess of 3m deep and underpinning to existing buildings
Demolition of existing outbuilding and associated landscaping to provide car parking, footpaths, fencing and waste storage area
Conclusion
The project was completed within financial and time restraints. The client was pleased with how The Building Partnership Ltd dealt with the difficult access and the academy’s students.
